      • Milnesand Prairie Preserve protected by the Nature Conservancy and the Prairie Chicken Wildlife Areas protected by the State of New Mexico Department of Game & Fish manage a limited amount of land in the east-central part of New Mexico as needed prairie chicken habitat.
